We both have dogs. Jase has a Mini-Schnauzer named Dexter, and Lonnie, at the time we met, had two dogs, one a sweet mutt named Maggie and the other a Basenji named Tanner. One afternoon while we were walking our dogs, really unaware of each other, the dogs noticed something more and insisted that we meet. That's how it happened. Three dogs, two people and that little thing called fate.

Maggie would pass on about two months after we met, but Lonnie says, "I think she knew I found someone that would keep me safe, just as she had all these 11 years, and comfort me and be with me no matter what." We met in November and she went home in February.

Of course Tanner and Dexter are still around... and still manage to keep us both on our toes. We just hope we can get them to behave for the wedding.

Our wedding and reception will be held at the newly built Queensbury Theater in Houston, Texas. We're excited on so many levels. It's a beautiful 200+ seat theater with a great stage. We so grateful for this space and the opportunity to be the first wedding on this stage. We both love the theater, Lonnie is of course more heavily invloved than Jase, but regarless we both share a mutual love of the arts. We couldn't think of a better place to be married. The reception will take place on-stage following the ceremony.
