Her Version:

Michael and I met at a party during the annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. As we both were waiting for a glass of wine, he commented "nice arms" to me. I thought it was a very strange pick up line until he explained he was a personal trainer. We began talking and there was an instant attraction. We spent the rest of the party together enjoying great wine and conversation. After the party, we left the party together with mutual friends and hit the town!

Eventually, it was time to go home. I met up with my friends and we said goodbye. I woke the next day knowing I had met someone special and I couldn't wait to see him again! Over the next few weeks we had several great dates and more amazing conversation. I couldn't get him out of my head and before we knew it, we had fallen in love!

His Version:

I met Alie at the Hyatt Grand Aspen during Food & Wine Week. I had loaned the host of the party a portable tent for their entertainment and was invited to stick around. A very good friend of mine was the chef for the party, and I had some other friends there as well. I went back into the suite to get another plate of food, and saw this very attractive woman talking to a friend of mine and noticed her arms, and complimented her on them, and then walked away. It was NOT a "pick up line". I was just giving a compliment.

As the party was coming to an end, the host thanked me again for the use of my tent for the band, and invited me to stay after, as they were going to bring out a few "special bottles". As I'm not one to say no to something like that (I love red wine), I approached her and asked if she'd like to share my glass. THAT was a line! LOL! Good thing the wine was exceptional!

We spent the rest of the afternoon getting to know each other, and that turned into an impromptu dinner. I was very intrigued with her, and knew she was someone special I wanted to get to know better. As the weeks and months went by, I realized she was the one for me.

After much deliberation, we've decided to have a destination wedding on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. We're both extremely excited, as we've never been there, and have heard nothing but incredible reviews from everyone we know that has. We will be arriving on Sunday, Septmber 15th and staying through the following Sunday, the 22nd.

The wedding ceremony will be on the beach with a combination of vows we will write ourselves with a taste of the hawaiian culture as well. The resort we chose is beautiful with amazing views and a wonderful location on the island. We can't wait to share our incredible pictures and fastastic stories and experiences of our time together there!
