It was the day after my birthday June 23, 2016. We made plans with our parents to go have my birthday dinner at Joe T Garcia's. There was zero suspicion of what Derek had up his sleeve. We got there and had yummy food and great conversation with our parents. We were all finished up, and Bella asked me if she could go throw coins into the wishing fountain. Naturally I said of course, and handed her several pennies. Derek took her over there while I finished up my drink. I was all done, so I walked over there to them making wishes. I kneeled down next to Bella and asked her what she was wishing for. She threw another coin in and said, "I wish, I wish, that Mommy marries Derek!" I agreed with her and looked over to Derek, and I realized he was down on one knee with the most beautiful diamond ring in his hand. He then asked, "Will you marry me?" I was in complete shock, so much that I asked him if he was serious! HAHA! After the shock passed, I said of course and then the celebrating began! It was the most memorable and romantic moment in my life. I am so blessed to be marrying my best friend!!
