We met on my (Ashley) 18th birthday at High Priestess Piercing. Every time I would go into the shop after that day, Alex was working. His smile, his personality, and his kind manor was always intriguing to me. In october 2010 I went in to get a piercing and was told if I let him pierce me, it would be free. So I agreed, not knowing it was his first professional piercing! The next day I started working for the shop. He would always greet me with a hug and a smile, and after 6 months I got the courage to ask him out. We went to the coast Sunday May 16th and spent the entire day just talking on the beach and playing with Izzy (my dog). The rest is history. We have been best friends ever since, inseperable. Alex says he knew that day we would get married. He proposed the first time in July and officially in October. Our 2 year anniversary is coming up, but it seems like time has flown by, but seems like we've been together forever all at the same time.

In March we went to Las Vegas for my Pure Romance business convention. We were walking down Fremont street when we spotted a sign that said "Jewelry Sale" We walked into a shut down mall, up a broken escallator to the only store left, the Jewerly store. We walked in and looked around but nothing really popped out to me...Until the last case. I saw it. THE ring! The jeweler came over and asked if we would like to see anything and I told him yes, I didn't even have to tell him which ring. He reached in the case, pulled it out, and put it on my finger. It fit perfectly! I couldn't hold back the tears. I called my mom, and cried. I called my friend, and cried. I knew it was meant to be. It was originally $4,500. He had put it on sale in February for $2500! So I put it on layaway with a $500 down payment. The following night was the white party for the Pure Romance Convention. Alex was playing craps to win chips. For every $2500 in chips you won you could trade them in for raffle tickets. When the raffle started I stared at my tickets. I was the 9th person chosen. I pulled envelope 25 out of the prize box. That meant i was the last person to get to open it. The top prize was in envelope 19, $2500 in $100 bills. My envelope felt pretty thick, and when it finally got to me, sure enough it was $2000!!! We went back to the jewelry store and I handed John (the jeweler) the rest of the cash to get my ring from layaway. What a dream! He gave us both huge hugs, kisses, and a blessing. Not only is it the most beautiful ring i have ever seen, but an unforgettable memory!
