Bride

It was in late January in 2016 that we went on our first date.  We drove up to the Winter Festival in McCall.  We found ourselves amidst a large crowd that had gathered for the parade which was aobut to start.  We walked the entire length of the parade route and happened to find a smoked turkey leg along the way.  When we got to the end of the route we turned around and headed back on the other side of the road.  That's when we found our little jewel in the middle of McCall.  The locale indoor ice rink!  With everyone outside watching the parade it left the entire rink to ourselves.  We skated for the whole parade, stopping every now and then to watch the floats go by while we stayed inside nice and warm.  It was a surreal moment for the both of us, skating side by side holding hands.  Sharing laughs and smiles as we continued around the rink.  We have now made this our first tradition.  We plan to go back every year and skate on empty ice laughing and holding hands.  Our own little spot where time freezes for us as the rest of the world rushes by right outside on main street McCall.

Valentine's Day 2017:  Blake and I decided this would be a perfect day to stop into the Ada County courthouse and pick up our marriage license.  It was a beautiful sunny day at lunch time when we showed up to find the building had been completely vacated due to a power outage in downtown Boise.  This didn't stop us though.  We took a strole down to the Basque part of the town and had a wonderful lunch Valentine's date.  Then back to the court house to pick up our license and add one more beautiful memory to our new life together.
