In December of 2009, when Myspace was still around, Cameron had added Shelby as a friend because he thought she was pretty cute. Shelby accepted his friend request because of the same thing. They started texting each other on the daily (because it was a big thing back then. LOL) She was scared to meet him because she had never met him before, so she didn't know if who he said he was, was true. 

One day at Shelby's school, she was talking to a friend, who indeed knew Cameron really well! But, She was still really hesitant, so she decided to wait a little bit longer before actually meeting him.

After a few months of texting on and off, Cameron texted Shelby saying there was $2 Panda Bowls at Panda Express and that she should meet him there to have dinner! She couldn't say no to $2 Panda Bowls, so she had driven to Panda Express to get food and meet Cameron. Cameron was outside, hanging out with 3 of his friends on the backseat of his parent's van. So, they started to talk and hang out for a few hours. And that's how they met.

When they officially met, Cameron was dating someone and so was Shelby, so they had agreed to become friends. She attended to some of his band practices, went to the beach, hiking at black diamond mines, and followed by lots of fun adventures that summer. 

One weekend, Shelby was away visiting a friend at college and Cameron had texted her saying that he dumped his girlfriend. The very next day, Shelby's boyfriend had dumped her without notice. When she came back from her visit, she was really bummed. Cameron decided he wanted to hang around Shelby more often, so he started coming to Discovery Bay to visit her. He came to watch movies at her house, walk with her around the lake and do a lot of star watching. One night, as they were walking Bella around the lake, they both admitted to have had feelings for each other! 

A couple of days later, Cameron came over to watch a movie with Shelby. It was one of her favorite movies, The Rock Star. Towards the end of the movie, Cameron turned to Shelby and that's when they shared their first kiss! From then on, they were inseparable. 

5 years and a baby later, they are finally getting married!
