We would like to go to Oktoberfest a few days after  the Wedding and enjoy the German country side. We both have talked about going to Germany since we got together. What better time to go than Oktoberfest! Oktoberfest traditionally starts in the third weekend in September (September 17th, 2016) and ends the first Sunday of October (Oct 3rd). It began with the Royal Wedding on 12 October 1810. Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, was married to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen on 12 October 1810. Oktoberfest was the wedding celebration, there's no better way to celebrate our wedding than to go to one of the longest running wedding parties of all time!
