Felipe proposed to me on December 29, 2015. As some of you may know that is my birthday.

We spent the whole day together in Las Cruces running errands and enjoying each other’s company. Felipe told me to be ready for dinner around 8. We went to the Pecan Grill. It was a very nice restaurant that had music playing from a speaker. Throughout the night, Felipe seemed nervous and anxious. He at some point spoke with the waitress or manager and had them play one of our favorite songs; "Loving you is Fun" by Easton Corbin. As we ate dinner and sang along the waitress came by and ask if we needed anything. Felipe asked her to take a picture of us. He gave her his phone with the camera on; as we stood up to take a picture, he turned to me and knelt on one knee. It was the most exciting feeling in the world!

I was excited and thrilled to know that I would be sharing my life with the person I know was made just for me! 

Of course I said "YES" and of course I cried a little out of happiness.
