Brian and I met while I was going to school at TCC and working in the business office directly across from HR. I remember him walking into my office several times a day with a big smile on his face. I tried to ignore him at first, but his southern charm worked on me eventually. Our first coversation was very interesting to say the least, and we quickly became great friends. Brian is still my best friend to this day. 

I saw Juanita a couple of times while she was working in the business office at TCC. One day, I was in the hallway talking to a co-worker when she walked by and asked me, “Why every time I see you, your always talking to somebody new?” I took this as; why wasn’t I talking to her and she was trying to tell me that I should be talking to her instead. At this point, I figured she had made the first move and I decided to introduce myself. After work I had walked her to her car and I have been talking to her ever since.

It was New Year’s Eve, at Juanita’s parents’ house. We were playing board games and drinking. Everyone knew Brian was going to propose that night except Juanita. Her mom, aunt, and sister kept giving him ideas on how to propose to her that night. Juanita’s sister, Judi, told him to get on his knees and hum the wedding song during a game of Charades but instead, in true Brian fashion, he simply put the ring on the table in front of her. It took her a mintue to realize he had put the ring in front of her. When she finally looked down she was in total shock and for the first time in her life, completely speechless.

We would like to thank all our family and friends for simply being there for us over the years. You all have done so much for us and we are so thankful to have all your support and love. This is why we decided to have a small intimate wedding with all of you there. We know we are truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.
