After weeks of planning and collaborating with Jessie (Jamie's sister) we had the perfect plan in place unbeknownst to Jamie.  Zach and Jessie were coming in town on a Friday night for the weekend.  We had plans to go up to the mountains for a day of hiking and find the best overlook  with the most beautiful view.  From there I was going to propose to Jamie and ask her to spend the rest of her life with me!  Perfect plan, perfect setting with her best friend and husband. 

BUT WAIT!  As all of you know Jamie is a nurse and sometimes works crazy hours or gets called in.  So Zach and Jessie arrive with Jamie still at work.  We decide to visit the local pub and wait on Jamie to get off work.  4 hours later she finally is off and arrives.  After a few more we head back to the house.  At this point around midnight Jamie is adamant about not going hiking in the morning and going to....wait CROSSFIT!.  After a few more hours of, let’s call it discussion, she is still dead set on not going hiking in the morning.

So the plans start to change due to someone's stubbornness! A backyard proposal it will be.  I retrieve the camera and ring and proceed to take pictures.  For all of you that know Jamie there was definitely some goofy faces and silly pictures about to take place in her mind.  So I drop to one knee and ask her to be marry me.  At this point I don't think it had all set in what was happening but seconds later it all took shape.

She said YES!

We can all look back and laugh at how the night unfolded now but regardless of the setting or location we will always remember that special night we decided to spend the rest of our lives together.
