A last minute cancellation for an out of town weekend trip resulted in my unexpected arrival at 3 Vinos in Covina for my friend Sandra's birthday. Behind our party's dinner table sat the man who would give me a second chance at love. Little did I know he was there as I was sitting with my back to him. It was not until I got up to go around our table for photos that I noticed him glancing at me. As our eyes met across the way, I couldn't help but to smile at him. The stars had aligned that warm summer night...for sure he was the surprise of my life... MONICA
Life is full of surprises! This had been the first time out with friends in a long time. My friends were excited about a restaurant called 3 Vinos, how good the food is and how down to earth the people are. I was a bit hesitant not knowing what to expect. We arrived there and were seated. That's when I first saw her. It was her poise and elegance that attracted me to her. Even though I couldn't fully see her, she seemed very classy. I felt my chances were slim because she seemed unattainable and attached in one way or another, but that's when it happened. She stood up, turned and smiled. My confidence was somewhat shaky, yet I didn't want this to be that "big regret", the one that erks you for weeks for not making the move and letting her get away. But, as I said in the beginning, life is full of surprises, and to this day she is my big surprise...... JEFF |
A year later our love had grown into a strong relationship and we felt thrilled to take the next step for a future together. We have gone through the wonderful journey of learning about eachother, where we came from, and envisioning where we want to go as we head towards the future.
