Bride

All the way back in 2001, I took a spring break trip to the east coast with my girls. We were staying in Washington D.C. for a night and it also happened to be my birthday. We went for dinner and then to a local spot in downtown D.C. called Crush. At the time we arrived the place was kinda dead but we did notice 2 guys posted up on the dance floor. I remember noticing Al and because I was feeling brave on my birthday,  I asked him to dance. He was wearing a blue knit Tommy Hilfiger sweater and looked very handsome, but I mainly noticed his wonderful and warm smile!! We danced all night and the rest as they say, is history.

Groom

I remember being in this club in DC called "Crush" that we used to frequent every weekend.  I was in there with my cousin, Leon, and we were in there fairly early so we could get some drinks under our belt and see the crowd as they came in.  It was still early by nightclub standards when we noticed a group of girls on the dancefloor that clearly did not look like locals.  They just seemed to have a different energy about them, or excitement if you will, that just didn't make us think that they were from around DC.  Somehow we ended up eventually talking to them and found out they were visiting DC on springbreak from Fargo, ND.  Talking led to dancing and Jennifer came and asked me to dance.  She was the tallest girl of the group and that intrigued me.  I don't remember exactly what she was wearing but I do remember being very pleased with what I saw and considered the beginning of that night to be a success.
