Bride

Jeremy is a hopeless romantic, much like myself.  His proposal was well planned, thought out, and sentimental.

On June 11th, 2013 we celebrated our 1 year dating anniversary.  Since I'd never been to the Melting Pot, Jeremy decided to make reservations there for a celebration.  I took off work early, came home to get ready, and found my entire apartment had been cleaned from TOP to BOTTOM! There were roses in every single room, and notes with sweet nothings written on them for me.  Jeremy has such a sweet way with words.  Gift-giving is truly his love language!

He picked me up and drove me to dinner.  Once we got to the restaurant and were seated, red roses were delivered to the table.  We made fools of ourselves while we cooked the food (making messes, of course).  After our delicious fondue dessert, Jeremy asked me to come take a picture with him up front.  After the first picture, Jeremy asked the hostess to take another because he wasn't ready for the first one.  For the second photo, he got down on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage! <3

Nothing makes me happier than giving someone the perfect gift and seeing true delight in their eyes.

I decided to propose to Jennifer on this day because she always told me that we had to date for at least a whole year before she would say yes! I knew I wanted to marry her from the beginning, but I listened to her requests and proposed exactly one year after we began dating.

I decided to take her to the Melting Pot because she had never been and always wanted to go there.  The day of, I cleaned her apartment because she hadn't had much free time due to a hectic work & school schedule.  I knew it would make her happy to see a clean apartment.

The funniest part about the proposal is that I called her Father the day of, and asked for his permission over the phone 30 minutes before I picked her up!  (He lives far away or I would have asked in person) I was so nervous!  Her Father chuckled and told me he had been expecting me to ask this question for a while, and gave me his blessing.

I picked her up at her apartment, drove her to dinner, and tried to remain calm and not let her know what I was up to.  It was also extremely uncomfortable to sit on the ring box throughout the entire dinner! We had a wonderful dinner, and when I asked her to marry me, she gave me the best answer by saying YES!
