I met Derrick at Cowboy Harley-Davidson. He was working in the Service Department and I was in the Motorclothes Department. He had just gotten back from Stephenville (his hometown) and lost his wallet on his way to Stephenville. He asked a Larry (a salesmen) where he could get a wallet and he walked him over to me. I showed Derrick the wallets and he picked one out. Later that afternoon, I was talking to Kendra (co-worker) and we were talking about how cute Derrick was. After work, she went and told Derrick all about the conversation her and I had. Another coworker, Brittany, gave him my number. That night he texted me. We talked all night about everything. He asked me if I wanted to go to the movies with him and I said yes. |
Derrick's mom, step-dad and brother were in town visiting us and my mom called and asked if we wanted to go eat with them. I don't remember why but I really didn't want to go but Derrick talked me into it. We got there and saw a huge group of people standing outside and everyone in the car thought we would have to wait to get a seat. I looked and saw that the huge party was my famiily. We parked and got out of the car and walked up saying our "hello's" and everyone was circling around me and Derrick. That's when he said, "well since everyon is here" and got down on one knee. I was so suprised because we were planning on going on a camping trip the following month and that was when I thought he was going to propose. Looking back I couldn't have asked for a better proposal. |
