It all started a few months before Christmas in 2017. Cody had signed us up to star in a small play our church was throwing. I reluctantly accepted, and I'm glad I did. The play was called Bed, Bethlehem, and Beyond - I was Mary and he was Joseph. It was the perfect excuse to have all of our family there and for it to be recorded without me noticing. When the day came for the play to be put on, December 17th, 2017, I was completely obvlivious. I could tell Cody was nervous but I just chalked it up to nerves because of the play. When the end of the play came he stopped the whole thing, and to my suprise got down on one knee and lovingly asked me to marry him. Then of course I, with a few tears in my eyes, said yes and now we are planning the day of our dreams!
