We laugh looking back at the events that led up to our first date, it is a hilarious story! Ralston got on Match.com one night after having a few too many beers while down in Kingsville working. I got on Match.com after my friends and family talked me into it. After several unsuccessful dates by both of us, we were both ready to call it quits and call it a waste of money. One night after having a few too many beers again, Ralston saw that we were a 95% match and that I liked to hunt and fish, so he said what the hell and sent me a message.... And that my friends is how it began! Ralston and I talked for about a month and a half thru messages and texts. We decided to go on a lunch date on July 5, 2010. Ralston actually called me that day and we heard each others voices for the first time, about two hours before we were supposed to meet! We went on our first date at Brewster Street Icehouse. I remember seeing him for the first time and thinking, "Oohh he's really tall, and really handsome and he has a big truck," (and his clothes were soo wrinkle free, come to find out Patsy and Tina would not let him leave until they ironed his clothes). We were having such a good time we decided we wanted to keep hanging out. I suggested we go play putt-putt golf, not a good idea in 105 degree weather! We played a speed round of golf and then went and sat in the air conditioning and talked for hours. Both of our families were blowing up our phones trying to make sure we were not murdered by the stranger that we had gone to meet. And that was it, our first date! The start of a wonderful new life together! |
Are you ready to party!!! We decided that we were going to make our wedding a celebration that lasted all weekend! We are getting married on Friday June 15, 2012 at Port Royal Resort in Port Aransas. We decided that since family and friends would be coming in from all over we wanted to get to spend the whole weekend with them, so that is why we chose to have our wedding on a Friday. We are getting married out on the beach, with a reception to follow at Port Royal. |
Because we already have everything we need as far as housewares and such (other than a Lazy-boy chair and Ralston a pair of night vision goggles from Cabelas) we decided that this would be the best route to go for a wedding registry. For our honeymoon we are flying to the exotic island of Kaui, Hawaii, the island of romance!! We will spend a week there hoping to enjoy all of the wonderful adventures that the island has to offer. |
