We joked around constantly about my "time lines" (wanting to date by a certain time, wanting to be engaged by a certain time, have kids by a certain age...). Well it was getting closer to my "time line" for being engaged and he joked around more and more about it. I never thought anything of it...little did I know!

We had just finished dinner with my grandparents, mom, and brother when we went back to their hotel to visit my aunt. We were sitting in the car, because we thought they were not there yet, waiting for them. He asked me again if he didn't propose by the summer if I'd still not marry him, I said yes I wouldn't marry him. He asked, "are you sure?" I looked at him and asked why?

This is when the ring box was pulled out of his pocket and when I saw it I started to cry! I was completely caught off guard, and that does not happen at all! I hate to admit it, but after the ring was in front of me, I couldn't even focus on what he was saying. But of course my answer was yes!

Later that night, I had to ask him to send me what he said so I could treasure his words forever <3
