How I met my angel by Keith Gaston

It was on a routine week work day for two individuals who were busy and had to get something to eat.  We gravitated to a” Captain Ds” restaurant not at the same moment mind you, but within minutes of each other. I walked in and placed my order first. I proceeded to sit down to eat. I had noticed that there were (2) pieces of hush puppies missing in my fish plate. I went back to the counter to ask for the missed remaining order. At that point I sat down on the bench and in walks this “Lovely Bouncy Young Princess” who seemed to be in a big hurry. She was dressed in all Black with tight nit paints and a large key chain that looked like a gun holster, at least from my view point. I thought she was an off-duty police officer, lol. I then jumped in front of her to ask about my order.

She seemed very steamed, upset and probably said “Really”.  Who does this xx3435@#4%xyz... Guy think he is, Jumping in front of me?  I thought I had said excuse me, but apparently those words were never interjected as she put it. We both sat down on the bench, of which I had crossed my legs in a relaxed mode. I asked her what kind of work she did. I supposed that was the wrong approach for me. She said she worked at a well-known company. So, we made small talk. I then gave her my card which had lots of color, my name in big letters and my phone number and profession as an artist/designer in small print. I asked for her number of which she complied.

She wrote her name so big on the on the back that the letters virtually ran of the corners. Her first name was hard to read. I smiled at her and she slightly smiled back even though she was still pissed off. After I got my order right, I said to her that I would be sitting around the corner in the back eating my dinner. I then suggested that she come and say bye to me before she left for work. Then in the back of my mind, I thought that this lady was not going to stop bye at all. Just then I looked up and who was coming to say good bye but Ms. Latonya Mc Daniels.

She sat down slowly and calmly. She looked me up and down, and I was very nervous at that point. I dropped some of my food on the table of which she thought it was very funny. Very awkward on my part, because I was trying to stay cool. We locked eyes, and that became magical in my eyes, and maybe in hers as well. She remained very cool throughout the ordeal...lol. I said I that she could call me when she had a chance.

The next two weeks went by which seemed like an eternity. I was very persistent as Leo’s are to win this Aquarius. I tried calling her number many times over and even text her, but to no avail. Nothing from her for two full weeks. Then one day she sent me a picture of her and a text saying “Hi”. Was it Love? Well I was determined to find out. We met one day, and the rest was history. She still says my card was not a business card, but a Player’s card… Oh Boy, did I have to cleanup my act to win her “Love”.
