I can remember the very first time I saw Kevin, at the time he was about nineteen years old and i was sixteen. he just moved into the home of his father and grandmother's who lived right across the street from my family and I. I never gave him much thought as I saw him come and go from his father's house. I didn't think Kevin even noticed me then, and he didn't live there very long. It wasn't until twelve years later that I saw him again. It was a Sunday and I was coming home from church. That's when I saw Kevin standing outside talking to his dad. It was a bright and sunny October afternoon. I thought he looked so handsome, he had on black slacks and a burgundy dress shirt. I rushed into my house to prepare for a revival that my church was having that same evening. As I walked out to my car Kevin and his father approached me. Jokingly his dad asked me if Kevin and I played together as children since both our families lived across from each other for so many years. I laughed and said no and right then Kevin shoved his dad away and told him that he could handle it from here. That was his way of introducing himself which was funny to me. We talked for a minute or two, then he asked for my phone number which I gave him. To my surprise Kevin called me the next day. We made plains that night to go on a date. A few days later he came to my house to take me out, he was such a gentleman. We went to the movies and then dinner. We shared stories and lots of laughs. From that night on we have been inseparable. He is my best friend and I can't wait to share a life time of laughter together.
