Bride

We fell in love with a house and decided that we had to have it!  The home buying process was extremely stressful and I thought I was going crazy a time or two during the closing period.  Scott assured me that everything would work out well and just to have faith (and drink a few glasses of wine in the meantime – super smart advice!).

Two days after we closed on our home, we agreed to take a couple of friends over to see our new house.  Scott and I made it there first, so we went inside to wait for our friends.  As he opened the front door to the house, I could immediately see candlelit votives lining the staircase, dining room and living room.  He had pictures hanging on the walls that were taken during the course of our relationship, starting with a picture of the Friends Café and ending with a picture of our house with the ‘sold’ sign in the front yard.  He planned out something to say at each picture and finally got down on one knee with an engagement ring in hand once we reached the final picture.  There was a lot of tears of joy, smiles and excitement!  About 20 minutes later, our closest friends and family came to the house to help us celebrate with champagne!
