 | This fiance of mine respects tradition. He is such a sweet chivalrous and loving man. For valentine's weekend, I was "flewed out" to NYC and he met me there. We spent time with family and enjoying the NYC sites and sounds which of course would not be complete without a lovely steak dinner. Little did I know that while we were at my mother's home, David would be making her aware of his intentions to propose to me and giving her a sneak preview of THE RING! Mom said she almost fainted when she saw it, LOL! I was elsewhere in the home so I was completely unaware of what was going on. That was so sweet of him to do things the original way they were done in our parents' day. Had my dad still been alive in NYC, there is no doubt in my mind that David would have asked him for my hand in marriage. Fast forward to the proposal dinner. We wined, dined, and talked. Then came time for dessert. The ring was delivered in a pretty red box on a dessert plate amongst 14k flakes of edible gold on tantalizing desserts. I was absolutely stunned at how beautiful it was when he turned it to me! The proposal poem that he wrote was so heart quenching. I was so moved by the beautiful words and felt the presence of God resounding from this man's soul. I said, YES!!! |
