I had been freelancing for a while on my own at the training center, and I was out on the track, jogging around, when Derrick rode up behind me, and yelled, "Hey you! Can you break from the gate?" I was taken by surprise and said yes. I then asked numerous peple if they knew who he was, because we were warned before we started freelancing to watch out for a few people. I heard he and his dad ran a good stable, and he asked me to swing by the next day. I did and gave him my number for "strictly business". I texted his number later that day asking if it was Derek. He responded saying no this is Derrick, and i continued by responding, "dang, I must have the wrong number!". Needless to say, we never stopped talking.
