When we first started dating we carved our names into a bench in a park in Jackson, Ms. We had always talked our carving and wondering if it was still there. On June 26th, we had a date planned and Nevakius mentioned that we were going to go see if our names were still on the bench. Nevakius orginally proposal plan was to propose to me in the park where we carved our names but time was not on our side. It had been over 8 years since we carved our names and the benches were extremly weathered so we were unable to find our names. He decided not to do it there.......

    Here's a little back story ..... as a couple we like to write each other notes in the bathroom mirror. Things like "I love you" or "Have a great day".

    Well we get home that evening and I am getting ready for bed. Nevakius writes in the bathroom mirror...." Will you marry me" and asks me to come here. I thought he wanted tissue or something so I throw some tissue at the door and got into  bed. A few minutes later, he comes and gets me out of the bed and says there is something he wants me to see.... when he opens the door... there it is. It took me a few seconds before I realized what was happening and I burst into tears.

     I know it wasn't his orginally plan but I loved the way he did it because it was so unexpected and so personally to us as a couple.
