Earlier that week, Victor told me he was going to take me out for dinner on a Thursday. We go out to dinner often so I didn't think anything of it. The only difference was we were going to a different restaurant, Flemings. (Just as a side note, Victor's stepmom works at Flemings.) So, we arrive at the restaurant and the hostess does her normal spill, then she says, "oh Victor, you're celebrating your birthday!!....." At first I was thinking..."it's not Victor's birthday, but it did just pass the week before." So I passed it off as being some kind of code that he and his stepmom had so he could get some special or something.

Anyway, we go ahead and get seated. We had a wonderful dinner where we just laughed and talked like usual. At the end of the dinner, the manager came over with a box of chocolate thanking Victor for spending his birthday with Flemings. Of course me and my nosey self, I was like, "ooooh what's in the box? what kind of chocolate is that?" But he was acting like it was all his and he didn't want me to have any. After a few seconds of me bugging him, he opens the box and turns it around and inside of it is this beautiful sparkling diamond ring! I was breath taken and speechless. I couldn't stop laughing from surprise and amazement of what just happened. He got down on one knee, and told me how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me followed by asking me to marry him. As you all know, I said yes!!

Surprisingly, Victor's dad was in the background along with his stepmom taking pictures and observing the moment. What a wonderful, memorable moment it was!! Afterwards, we went to Victor's dads' restaurant and continued to celebrate for a little while longer, then wrapped up one of the most unforgettable moments of my life!
