Why Louisiana? I'm sure most of you are thinking...

The main reason is tied up with visa issues. Whilst US immigration processes my green card application I am not allowed to travel outside of the States. So it had to be in one of the 50 states.

Of course Hawaii is the obvious choice but we just wanted to do something  little different. The South has always interested me, and neither one of us has been there before. Hopefully it will be a relaxing but cultural and fun trip too. 

We are only going for a week as next year we plan to take a longer trip outside of the US, hopefully to Italy!
