| ![]() After weeks of gathering addresses, designing and printing them, stuffing them with the invites, etc. Charles helped when he could of course. I finally got the last one sealed and stamped all ready to be mailed. Whew! I hope I didn't make any typos, but if I did my apologies in advance. I uploaded my design file so you could see, but I guess you've probably already received yours by now :) ![]() Ok so I have most definitely found my dress for the reception. I really have to say I do love it. I guess I didn't have to find the shoes first after all, lol, but now I do need to find shoes to go with the dress. For some reason I don't mind :) ![]() So we tried six different cake flavors yesterday at Bon Bonerie. I pretty much knew the white chocolate raspberry was going to be my favorite, but the lemon moon did give it a run for it's money. Charles and I both agreed that the chocolate flavors were just to rich for a wedding cake and in the end his favorite ended up being the same as mine. First time for everything right, lol. After that we just had to choose the design, which we did, so one more thing checked off the list. Charles was so happy he got to bring the leftover cake home :) ![]() Today is our cake tasting at the Bon Bonerie yay. I have been looking forward to this appointment more than anything else. I have been a huge fan of Bon Bonerie for many, many years, so when the question was asked where to get the wedding cake from there was no hesitation. Hopefully, Charles and I can agree on a delicious flovor, but it will be difficult knowing that all of the flavors are going to be great.
![]() Ordered the coolest accessory for the reception party today. Given we are going with the casino theme I came across the roulette wheel drinking game. All of the shot glasses are numbered, you roll the ball around the spinning wheel and whatever number it lands on, well you guessed it. Pretty fancy, right?
Ok so we went all the way to Hamilton to taste Jeanette's Delicacies and it was so worth it. Everything we tried was just fabulous. We were able to decide the entire menu and got everything settled in one short afternoon. Making progress!

Today we have a busy, busy schedule. This morning I am meeting with our casino table rental company and our fabulous DJ Swirl to survey the reception space and find out where everyone would like to be set up. Rachael and I measured the space beforehand and I whipped up a layout with so we could make sure there was enough space for everyone. Hopefully, it works out.
Designed and ordered our wedding announcements/reception invites today on Zazzle.com. I am not a big fan of the way they make you design things but for the price I am not going to complain. I love how you don't have to order a set in stone invite anymore and consumers have the freedom to make the invite anyway they would like. Now to start collecting all of those addresses. Do you think that weddings are the biggest thing keeping the Postal Service alive?
Found a great company in Dayton to do our ice sculpture for the reception. They are very experienced and the gallery examples look great! Plus they are less expensive than the Cincinnati based companies, so win win for everyone. I wont spoil the surprise of what it's going to look like, but if they pull this off it will be awesome!
![]() Ordering things like crazy for the reception. So far we have all of the decorations, the cake knife set, lots of appointments set up to order the cake, catering, dj, casino tables, etc. I really want to start looking for a dress to wear as well. Charles already has his fancy outfit, but I have yet to find exactly what I am looking for. Perhaps I should start with the shoes first anyway, we all know they are more important anyway. ![]() I have been really stressing about my hair for the wedding. Unfortunately for me, I have straight, fine hair, but it not thin. In fact, it is so heavy it just weighs down and has no volume. Oh what I wouldn't give to have Wonder Woman's voluminous mane. But I am no superhero and must work with what I have. The problem is I love all the poofed up, updo, hairstyles that i know my hair would never allow me to do. Here's to dreaming and hoping that we may find a happy medium. The photo is a nice stlye that with the right extensions just may work.
![]() So the lovely wedding coordinator from Las Vegas contacted me to choose the bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding. Apparently, the sky is the limit and I can choose just about anything I can find a photo of on the intenet. With this being said I started to panic. My wedding dress isn't plain white and with the added color it has I wasnt quite sure what color bouquet was going to look good with the dress. Never fear, I have Photoshop :) I took a photo of me and my dress and about 10 to 12 bouquets that I liked. I photoshopped each one in individually until I found the one that looked the best. Take that imagination!
I am happy to announce I tried on and picked up my wedding dress today. It now safely resides in my closet resting until November. It ended up looking great when I tried it on and I can't wait to wear it. I also received my shoes and head piece so we can cross those things off of the long to do list.
![]() So everything is booked and ready to go for our Las Vegas Wedding. I really wish Charles would have went along with the getting married by Elvis idea, but he really wasn't a fan. I guess we have to give him some say in this, ha ha. I am super excited to finalize the details and we even already have our flights for November. Six months to go, I want to say it will drag, but I know it will be here before we know it. ![]() Any girl knows that the dress is definitely the most important attribute for any bride to be. I am no exception. After four months of looking, trying on, searching the internet, etc. I am ordering my wedding dress today. I am completely in love with the dress so I dont think there will be any issues. However, I can't post a photo on here of it, but I will show you the dress that came in as a close second.
