This picture was taken just an hour or so before Bryan got down on one knee! It's no secret that I've been dying for a ring for years now and have been hunting high and low for the perfect ring. Over the years Bryan has teased about how he would ask and even "pretended" to propose a time or two. Back in March when I returned from a trip to Tennessee with my Nana he promised I would have a ring within 6 months. I was so excited I even set a reminder on my phone for 6 months from that date! Talking back and forth with May she said he was taking care of it...silly me went snooping and found eviden of such. I immediately texted one of my Best Friends...Sabrina shot me down immediately saying no one had rings made the way his messages said. Little did I know, Sabrina was in on it.
Alicia and I had been busy planning a Surprise going away party for Sabrina so I forgot abouth the ring quickly. Her and I obsessed over planning the perfect party and worrying we wouldn't have enough food or beer. Not long before the party we got a great surprise: Alicia was pregnant! She decided to keep it a secret and tell her friends and family the night of Sabrina's party since they would all be there.
The day had finally come, time to surprise Sabrina with a party and family with a baby. Sabrina was floored, and Maddie dressed in her big sister shirt helped Alicia and Kyle make the big announcement.... I had no idea what was about to happen to me!
Alicia, Sabrina, Jamey, and I sat in the houseto relax while the 20 other guests partied outside. Alicia wanted us to all go outside, something I wasn't ready for. Alicia managed to get me to go outside...I grabbed a slice of apple on the way.
As we walked outside the girls had me lined up...i Just didn't realize it! Sabrina stepped to the side and at first all I saw was the group of people. Then, I saw it: Bryan down on one knee. I was so in shock, and honestly didn't think it was real. As I chocked on my apple I told him "F**k Off" and walked away. The girls turned me back to him...this was it. Lord knows I'll never forget it. He asked "Are you ready...", and I responded "More than anyone will ever know" and he responded with "for our next crazy adventure". I don't think I even said yes... I just fell to the ground and sobbed. It was the most perfect moment. When I could finally breath and stop shaking he told me that he had designed the ring with elements of all the pictures I had sent and the diamonds were his Mom and Granny's. It took 12 years, but it was sure worth the wait!
