Shelley and Mark met in the winter of 2012 one night at Tin Roof in Downtown Birmingham. They chatted a few minutes then parted ways not thinking twice about it. They ran into each other again that same night at a different place, which neither knew the other would be there. They sat down and started talking, realizing they had grown up less than 10 minutes apart from each other. They were both on different paths in their lives at that point, so they kept in contact on and off for a year before they decided to start dating in November 2013. Just shy of 2 years later, Mark asked Shelley to marry him on Sept. 29, 2015! They will be married on Nov. 4, 2016.
