Bride

In my DREAMS is where I first met and talked to Chris. Where I first saw him was in front of Derrick McDonnell’s house in High School. Because that was his best friend, he was there 362 days out of the year (I’m assuming he was sick with the flu the other 3 days). I don’t even think I talked to other people about Chris in fear people would say, "Please girl. Lets get real here. You don't have a chance in heck. Move on already..." He was that guy you would see on TV when coming across “The Top 50 Sexiest Men in America” (channel 54). Therefore…..he was waaaay out of my league and I had no business thinking about having a (dare I say it??) RELATIONSHIP with this boy!! Yeah….no. I was this awkward little girl who’s life was devoted to her go-cart, trampoline and pogs. I had bangs and more freckles than Punky Brewster. I remember my mom holding up dresses when we were cruising through the girls section in Dillard’s and I remember thinking, “What….is…..that? (while quickly grabbing a pair of shorts and striped shirt of some sort). As you can see….fashion wasn’t my strong suit. Hot quarterback from Cy-Fair and a frumpy Silverado from Cy-Creek dating? I think not. So I did what any normal girl in her early teens would do….I stalked him through the guest bedroom window. Don’t judge me! I had no choice.

Groom

As time went on to grow up and become sophisticated individuals, we moved away to college and gazing at Chris from afar quickly became a thing of the past. BUT…low and behold, Facebook would soon reunite us!!!!! In 2009 I was complaining about wanting a 6 pack and a butt like Kim Kardashian (surprise, surprise). Chris sent me a message saying something along the lines of, “You already have a 6 pack and you are so pretty…you don’t need to do anything.” Guys and their lines…they’re not stupid. Cheesy, yes. But not stupid. I starting thinking about him non-stop, but could never see him b/c he lived in Florida and I was in Dallas. Finally in 2010, Chris moved back to Houston and I followed him here soon after. The rest my friends….is history!!! Here we are, engaged and HAPPY as ever!!!! I couldn’t be more excited to spend the rest of my life with this man. :o)
