BrideThe Proposal

Oh goodness looking back on the first proposal it was the cutest thing ever, but also the funniest. I literally thought he was going to tell me some bad news on my favorite holiday. It was Fourth of July and he had been acting strange all day and I couldn’t put my finger on it; I was getting annoyed. We spent the day with my family, then he insisted we go see the fireworks— after all this would be our first time together! We drove to the waterfront, but couldn’t find parking; I settled us on Weber street around the corner from God’s Throne. We had a perfect view of everything and it was intimate because everyone parked closer. I was sitting on the back of the car when he started talking about how he had to tell me something but didn’t know how to get it out. In my head I’m thinking, “are you really going to give me bad news on my favorite holiday.” I kept telling him just spit it out. Then he drops to his knee in the middle of street as cars are leaving the show and ask me to marry him. With cars honking, and snappers chatting I responded with a hard Yes!

Fun fact: our following conversation consisted of how shocked I was and irritated he was making me. We laughed the rest of the night.

Take two- The Second proposal

After the first proposal we shopped for my ring together. I picked 3 that I loved and he decided which one to get. I think being the thoughtful, extra- amazing man that he is it only felt right for him to do it again.

We got all dressed up and headed to a Brazilian Restaurant in Roseville. We sat in the middle of the room. I could see his nervousness, so I knew something was up.  Although, I was not prepared to hear him rap the song he wrote me then drop to his knee again and ask me to marry him with my ring in his hand. Everyone started clapping and the staff was so nice, they sent us congratulations dessert.
