The proposal was unexpected meaning I knew we talked about getting married but he has always had set a timeline for himself. So I had no clue when the propsal was going to happen. He asked me out on a date as usual so I didn't expect anything because our dates happened frequently I am a lucky girl he always makes sure that we go out and have a date or two during the week. The only thing I asked is how I should dress and he told me to dress how I normally do and that would be fine. So, I found a dress that I like and put it on with my heels. I had asked him where we were going and he didn't want to tell me I said ok because I like surprises and I just left it at that. As we were driving I noticed that we were going to a popular spot in town called the Plaza where there are a lot of beautiful restaurants, shopping and hotels so I knew it was going to be something special and fancy, lol. As we got closer to our destination he finally told me that he was taking me on a carriage ride around the area which I was excited because I have lived here all of my life but have never been on a carriage ride so I was so very excited about that. As we approached the carriage and I began to concentrate on getting up in the carriage with my heels on he quickly stopped me and stated that he wanted to say something. Now, in my head I'm thinking what could he possibly want to say at this time as I'm trying not to fall into the carriage with these heels on. He started out by telling me how much he loved me and the time that we have been together. I'm still thinking okay what's going on and why the speech. He began to get down on one knee and I honestly couldn't tell you a word he said after that because I realized what was happening. All I remember is him on his knee pulling a box out of his pocket and him saying the words "Will you marry me!" I gasped with surprise and of course said yes and was in aww of the proposal and how beautiful my ring was and how he did an amazing job.
