Saturday, April 7, 2018 was the absolute BEST day of my life! I had plans that day to go get a pedicure with my future sister-in-law Mckayla, and my future mother-in-law Linda but when we were getting ready to leave, Linda bailed on us because she said she had other things she had to do. So McKayla and I went by ourselves and planned on making a girls day out of it; for those of you who don't know, McKayla and I are very close, I definitely lucked out in the sister-in-law department! On the way there we had girl talk just like usual and she had me convinced Brandon wasn't ready to get married yet, and she didn't know when he would be. I understood because at the time we were just getting ready to graduate college. So after we got pedicures, we went shopping and I thought it was odd because we spent over an hour in Target and then she got a phone call from somebody at home saying they were ordering pizza and we needed to hurry home. So when we got back home, McKayla said "let's go over to the cabin/shop and look for that box of beads you need to finish decorating your graduation cap." So we went over there and walked in the cabin, and I walked around the corner and I froze. I couldn't move, or say anything! There was Brandon down on one knee with the most beautiful heart made out of candles with rose petals that filled the middle of it, and standing behind him was his family, my family, and our best friends Darrin and Tori Beth Hunt! I had NO idea! Earlier that week I asked my mom to come down and visit us, but she said she wasn't feeling good and couldn't come. She knew the whole time what was going on. LOL! Brandon had all my family park at the office so I wouldn't see their vehicles and him and his brother went over to pick them all up. Brandon was in his work clothes and I was in leggings and a vest just like every other day and I couldn't have imagined it any other way! It literally was the proposal of my dreams, and I couldn't not have been more excited! Oh, and Linda bailed on us because she had to help Brandon set everything up. LOL! We celebrated afterwards with pizza, and a little engagement party with our family and friends. It was the most PERFECT day! |
