Jennifer Rosencrance & Michael Cave

Our Story

While attending High School, I, the bride to be, had the privilege to become close friends with the most entertaining kids around. Unfortunately, my senior year of High School my family had moved, thus I had to continue my education at a different School within a different district. Despite seldom being able to talk to each other due to hectic schedules, these individuals proved to be true friends by keeping in touch. When College began, I was excited to attend the same school again as them however, our schedules conflicted and I was doomed to spend my Freshman year studying in solitude. That very year, my friends, being the entertaining bunch everyone can’t resist, befriended my soon to be husband, Michael! When Michael had mentioned his dream girl, one friend in particular, Aimee, immediately spouted off my name.
When the next school year began, I found out that we were all scheduled for the same days finally! My friends had invited me to the cafeteria one day, immediately introducing me to Michael. Though I still remember that moment to this day, we unfortunately didn’t set off fireworks instantaneously. I had no idea that my friends had him in mind as far as a romantic connection was concerned. After a great lunch all together, I understood why my friends had welcomed him into their lives. Michael and I quickly became great friends ourselves since our friends would always hang out as a group partaking in various adventures.
Finally I was made aware of Aimee’s intentions for Michael and I to be a couple and didn’t want to disappoint her. One day when boredom had relocated us to the mall, Michael and I decided to act as if we were a couple by holding hands. Instead of breaking away like the average guy would at the site of a Woman’s department store, Michael willingly escorted me in so he could assist in some shopping. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, he also sat in the changing room and gave his honest opinion on everything I tried on. I couldn’t help but realize I was delightfully holding his hand despite our friends no longer being around.
That night after saying our goodbyes, I had asked for his phone number. Before I knew it, Michael and I had been on the phone for four hours and the new school day was approaching. Though I’m not sure who brought up the subject of marriage, I do remember mentioning how I pitied whoever had to pay for such an event since my dream wedding entailed a marble bridge leading me over water, where my groom would be waiting on the other side under a circular colonnade with water trickling down its Romanesque columns merging into the mode which cascaded into the natural waters below. Michael grew quiet on the phone in disbelief, claiming that my description summed up his dream wedding as well. He said he had wanted that ceremony since he was younger and his mother always felt he was fanatical. At that moment I couldn’t resist pursuing the relationship further.
Despite our exhaustion due to sleep depravity, we couldn’t wait to see each other. We found ourselves inseparable after that day. Over four years later, we still feel the same way. Those same terrific friends who introduced us still play a major role in our lives and will now stand by our side as we become united as one. I truly can say we are blessed to have the opportunity to have both of our dreams come true by having our dream wedding to one another.
