Our Story

We met September 2002 during our first semester of college and became friends very quickly. Ruben not only took interest in me but also my poetry. We chatted away about everything from history and politics to religion over lattes at a local coffee house. Our similar interests brought us together and we have been inseparable since.

We have shared adventures as we travelled to New York City and Miami. I visited Ruben several times when he lived in Boston and we made memories there. We are looking forward to a lifetime of memories as husband and wife.

Our Wedding

We are looking forward to a momentous celebration of our love with the ones we hold most dear. Our semi-formal wedding will begin at four o'clock in the afternoon on the thirteenth of September two thousand nine at The Parador, 2021 Binz Houston, Texas.

Eggplant purple and baby blue are our wedding colors because my favorite color is purple and Ruben's is blue. We chose The Parador because we wanted something simple, yet elegant and we also wanted to incorporate a Mediterranean theme. This theme is continued with a gentleman who will play the Spanish guitar during the ceremony.

Our Reception

Our reception will also be held at The Parador and it will begin immediately following the wedding ceremony. There will be fine dining, drinks, dancing and a great time for everyone. Please join us as we celebrate the beginning of our new lives as Mr. and Mrs. Borges!
