We met each other through eHarmony.com in 2004. We corresponded by e-mail for several weeks before our first date on July 27, 2004. Things clicked instantly, and throughout the rest of the summer, we became very close. Unfortunately, Shawn went to the University of Colorado in Boulder, and Lyndsie attended Western State College in Gunnison, two-hundred and fifty miles away! We phoned each other daily and made several trips to visit one another throughout the semester in order to remain close. Fortunately, Lyndsie graduated that December and moved back to northern Colorado. Since then, we have not spent so much as a week apart. We have shared many happy memories and hope to share many more as we begin our life together as husband and wife.
Our wedding ceremony will take place on June 4, 2006 at Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch in beautiful Red Feather Lakes, Colorado. Red Feather Lakes is located forty-five miles northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado, in the heart of the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. The ceremony will be held outdoors near a mountain stream that runs through a picturesque meadow. Rain is not uncommon during spring afternoons. Should the weather become uncooperative, the ceremony will be held in the reception hall nearby. The temperature should be very comfortable midday, although it may be chilly in the early morning and late afternoon. Guests should select attire that is a compromise between formal and comfortable. The reception will be held in a lodge near the ceremony site directly following the ceremony and photo session. Fine dining will be provided by Beaver Meadows, and guests will be entertained by the outrageous MC Johnny Cruz. After dinner, we will celebrate with the traditional toast, cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter removal, first dance, etc. We will boogie into the night with great dance music and karaoke until the last guest is standing (or until ten o'clock, whichever comes first). Should anybody be in need of transportation or "emergency lodging" following the reception, please contact the wedding party.
