I was standing there in a crowd of people talking with my mama - one hand on my hip and the other holding a protein shake - when a handsome, and slightly shy, guy walked up to me with a smile and said, "Hi there. Are you doing Body-for-Life?"

As matter of fact, I was doing Body-for-Life (a workout and diet challenge) and that's when the story of Ronnie and Nicole began. My mom still laughs about how she walked away when she realized that Ronnie and I were deep in conversation and smitten. Of course, we didn't realize it yet but everyone around us did!

A week after that protein shake conversation we met for lunch at Panera Bread on 4th Avenue at around 11am. We talked about everything under the sun in what seemed all in one big breath! There will forever be a freeze frame shot in my mind of Ronnie sitting across from me laughing, smiling and being his loving self. We stayed there talking until the dinner crowd started rolling in at around 5pm. We could have stayed longer! Parting was such sweet sorry during those days.

It was amazing to discover that we both chose - a few years before we met one another - to start living our lives differently than we had been. I heard a long time ago that if you want to find someone to share your life with you must become that person yourself first. Upon doing so we found each other.

Each and every day I am thankful for Ronnie and I adore that we share a life together. We both know that in order for us to be great to each other we must first be great to ourselves and the rewards will be immeasurable - and they are.

Our wedding will be on May 22, 2010 at Cj's Off the Square in downtown Franklin, Tenn. The wedding will be in the gorgeous and bloom garden with reception in the garden area as well as a under a beautifully lit tent. There will be food, there will be dancing there will be merry beverages so come and be a part of celebrating our love. All of you are a part of that celebration!

The reception will be at CJ's off the Square as well following the ceremony. It will be an evening of dinner and dancing under the moon light and among the beautiful glow of candlelight and softly lit gardens. We will have an array of our favorite foods to share with you as well as an open bar and a DJ to get the party started. Come with an appetite for fun!

Like so many other people in this world we have experienced the ups and downs of life. When I met Nicole I was at the bottom of the world, and I thought that true love did not exist. My feeling was that love could be nothing more than a passing thought and that love was nothing more than an action. Once I met Nicole I knew true love was possible, and I am on top of the world. Like our life journey our honeymoon will be a representation.

We plan to fly into Las Vegas and stay one night. From there we will travel to Badwater in Death Valley which is the lowest geological point in the western hemisphere. From there we will travel through Death Valley to Lone Pine, CA in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range; and hopefully, weather permitting, climb to the top of Mount Whitney which is the highest point in the contiguous 48 states. From there we plan to visit the Sequoia National Park and visit some of the oldest and strongest trees in the world.
