Our Story
It was love at first sight...
We met while working for the same company, getting to know each other over many after work happy hours, and soon became inseperable. We've been dating for a few short months when we went to Michelle's cousin's wedding, it was there that Michelle introduced me to all of her family and told them that we would be next... and now here we are. We moved in together shortly after that night and have been a happy family ever since.
The Engagement-
Last summer we planned a 10 day trip to the Southern Carribean. I think she knew when I booked it that this was, "The Trip." The ring had been burning a hole in my pocket for a few months prior so I was more than anxious to get to a suitable location. Luckily I found one on our first stop, St. Thomas, it was by far the best island of the trip. We sat down at an outdoor bar and had a few Bushwackers (a local favorite with just about every kind of booze in it plus coconut cream for that tropical taste) and then we headed to Saphire Beach. It was there where I very predictably proposed and being the luckiest guy in the world, she said "yes!"
From the very first day we met we knew we couldn't be more opposite and that brings a perfect balance to our life together.
We look forward to sharing this day with you and will be taking our honeymoon to Italy after Michelle finishes nursing school next Spring.
Our Wedding
Upon arriving at the villa, pull up to the valet (there is an $8 fee) and find your way down to the oceanfront deck of the house. The wedding ceremony will begin at 4pm on the deck with cocktails & appetizers immediately following. After that we will join you on the deck for the reception.
We will have an open bar so plan on getting a room at our hotel or nearby in Laguna. We look forward to seeing everyone there for a night to remember.
Travel Arrangements
The nearest airport is Orange County (SNA) although you can also fly through LAX but expect to drive over an hour from there to Laguna Beach. The venue is owned by the adjacent hotel, The Pacific Edge Hotel. You can see the venue and get hotel accomodations at their site, www.pacificedgehotel.com. There are several surrounding hotels as well, however the rates are good at Pacific Edge and you will be able to walk to your room after the wedding!
