Jamie Danaher & Nick Dragisic
Location: St. Damian/Gaelic Park
I called my BFF Meghan and told her that I needed a job. She told me to go check out this restaurant she used to work at, The New Horizon. She told me that they're hiring and go and talk to the owner. I did the next day and he hired me right on spot and told me to come in on Saturday, September 25, 2003.
Everything was fine until all of these women started walking through the door to the party room. Little did I know that there was a bridal shower that day. Then it happened, I looked at the main entrance and there was Nick walking through the door. Our eyes met and locked and we followed each other all the way through the restaurant. He was the best man for the guy getting married. During the lunch Nick sat up front with the guys and was flirting. Later I asked him how he got the guts to ask for my number and he said, "I heard you talking about softball and I made it up that we needed a girl on our team, so I asked you if you could play". Nick then called me on Sunday and we had our first date on Monday. Finially, we offically became a couple on September 30, 2003 and the rest is history.

The Proposal:
It was December 24, 2008 and we were at my parents house to celebrate Christmas because Katie and I had to work on the 25th. We had a great dinner, played rockband, and then went to the family room to open gifts.
After we were done opening the gifts our parents got us, Nick had gifts to give also. He told me to open it in front of my family as he was kneeled down besides me. They gifts were picsof us; some in frames, in books, in a snowglobe and in a key chain. I loved them but could not figure out what the meaning was. Then I got to the last gift which was very light. I opened it, and came to found out his mom made it. It was a homemade book like thing and the front page read:
Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The family was gathered around the Christmas tree a glow, in hopes that Nick would say...
And when I opened it it said, " Jamie, will you marry me?" I starting bawling, got up and threw my arms around Nick. I did not say yes right away; I was in complete shock and when I finally did, everyone said that it was about time. Then Nick got yelled at by my dad. It happened so fast, I grabbed the box with the ring out of Nick's hand to go show everyone, when I went back to him to have him put it on, he told me that I missed my chance. My dad then said, "Hey, do it the right way!" He did, and slid it on my finger!
The first face I saw was Katie's. She had tears in her eyes and her hand over her mouth. Then Kellie's; she had tears in her eyes and in complete shock. Then my dad. He had tears in his eyes along with my mom! It was actually an awesome night. My cousin Nora knew I was bringing rockband to my parents so about an hour after the proposal, she showed her fam and grandma and grandpa; I got to tell them the great news. Alot of laughing, cheering, and crying went on during that! My mom and dad knew he was going to propose because Nick called them a few days prior. It was unforgettable.
