Ryan and I met through a mutual friend in May of 2006. The first time I met Ryan I drove to the border station in Moyock, NC and picked him up from a produce stand he worked at. He told his boss he had to leave to go get a hair cut. We drove to greenbrier mall, went to hot topic and bought each other band shirts and played air hockey at the mall arcade. I beat him of course, he will say otherwise. Call me crazy, but I knew I loved him the first day I met him. We dated on and off for a year, then I left for college and we went our separate ways. We were both in long relationships with other people and happened to end those relationships around the same time. I stayed in contact with Ryan’s sister Brandi and she let him know I was single. A day later I got a message on Facebook from Ryan. The rest is history. We hung out and started dating quickly after. I moved my toothbrush and everything else of mine into his apartment the next day. Fast forward two years and we found out we were going to be parents to a little boy. Reid is now 3.5yrs old. We bought our first house together in the town we met. A year later we found out we would be adding a little girl into our family. Kinleigh is 6 months old, the happiest little girl. On Christmas morning Ryan got down on one knee and said, “Lauren Brooke Hurrell since the day I’ve met you I have loved you, will you marry me?” I thought I was going to cry but I think I was in shock so I said something that I shouldn’t write online, said yes then asked him about 5 more times if he was sure. I have never been more sure of anything in my life. I cannot wait to marry the love of my life, grow old and wrinkly with him and make him swing on the rocking chairs on our front porch I had to have that we have never used.
