How the couple met….

One day a girl named Karishma with bright eyes and long lashes was sitting with her friends in the CAB building at the University of Alberta. An overly confident yet handsome chap, Shiv, knew one of the girls sitting with this bright eye beauty and decided he had to approach…even with greasy pizza in hand.

Karishma was intrigued until Shiv decided to do his infamous head back, full-throated open mouth laugh. Karishma didn’t know what to think except that she was happy that she was entertained before her class began.

As 1pm rolled around it was time for Karishma to head to class. Shiv never missing an opportunity offered to walk this beauty to her lab.

One year later…. Karishma walked into her Chemistry 303 class and was happy to see Shiv in her class. During class Shiv and Karishma’s friendship grew. They became study buddies, eventually started to flirt and soon enough Shiv copying Karishma’s assignments.

Building on Shiv’s fine skills of romance he asked Karishma to "go steady" on Valentine’s day in 2008. No gift in hand but a smile that Karishma couldn’t resist. 

6 years later Shiv proposed to Karishma at the Fairmont Hotel where she happily and emotionally said YES.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I book through a travel agency?

Answer -  By booking through our link you will be part of the wedding party, where we have booked off rooms for all of our guests.  The resort has over 2000 rooms and multiple buildings; if you choose to book your stay through a travel agency, you will unfortunately be placed in a completely different area and will not be considered to be part of Karishma and Shiv's wedding.

In addition, as per Moon Palace, travel agencies get access to the Standard Resort Room and not the Deluxe Garden Room which is what I have negotiated.

What is the difference between Standard Resort Room and Deluxe Garden Room?

Answer - Deluxe Garden Rooms are larger in size and offer a beautiful view of their gardens, instead of the Standard Room which is smaller and has views of the building or the parking lot.  Each room also has a balcony and jacuzzi for you to enjoy the view from your Deluxe Garden Room.
