Welcome

Matt and I are blessed to already have a home full of everything we need to start our life together. This is in a large part thanks to many of our family and friends. We can’t thank you enough for being a part of our lives and supporting us as we grow together. From our very first date, Matt and I discovered that we both shared a strong passion for traveling and experiencing the world. Therefore, we could think of no better way to begin our marriage than to go on this once in a lifetime adventure; backpacking around Europe. The registry  on this website (located through a link at the top of this pagecontains a list of very carefully chosen experiences that Matt and I have decided upon together. They are things we have dreamed about doing together for quite some time. Should you wish to gift us with one of these special experiences on our honeymoon, we will be able to share with you the pictures of the event upon our return!

A country we have talked about visiting for years. We will fly to Dublin from DFW the day after the wedding. We plan to rent a car to spend the next 5 days driving around the countryside. We will stay in a couple of home-run bed and breakfasts and visit the cliffs and castles during the day and share in the local music and culture at a few pubs at night. Finally, we will leave the car back in Dublin and travel by plane to Glasgow. We will arrive in Scotland On June 17th and spend the next 2 nights before taking a train up to Ft. William for a couple of days. While there, we will experience the Jacobite Train (also known as being filmed for the Hogwarts Express). On the night of June 21st Matt and I will board a night train to London, England. This will save us a hotel and give us more daylight to explore. Arriving in London around 8am, we will have the day to walk around the city and travel to the port Harwich International to board an overnight ferry.

The overnight ferry from England will arrive at Hoek van Holland on June 23rd. we will use the local trains to travel to Amsterdam. Matt and I will spend 3 nights enjoying the city before heading to Paris by train on the morning of June 25th and will spend 3 nights.

We will travel by train to Geneva, Switzerland to tour the Cern Hadron Collider and spend 2 nights in Geneva. After weeks of running around big cities, Matt and I will kick back and relax for a couple of nights in the carless mountain town of Zermatt, Switzerland near the base of Mt. Matterhorn. We will enjoy the quiet mountain lanscape before heading South.

Over our final 6 days, Matt and I will travel south along the Eastern coast (taking in views of the Adriatic Sea) and ending in the ancient city of Rome. We will Fly home on July 8th
