Although our opinion is a little biased, we think we have the best love story EVER!
We met when we were in high school. Liz was a freshman and I was a senior. Over the summer we had band practice five days a week and we met there. We talked all the time all through the school year.
After talking about it after we were together, we realized that we both had a huge crush on each other from the moment we met, but didn't have the courage to say anything about it.
We only had one class together, which was band. Every day we would share a friendly hug even though we were punished with push-ups every time, and it was the highlight of our day. One thing led to another and.....
Liz and her family moved back to Myrtle Beach, and I graduated. I looked and looked for Liz on MySpace and Facebook and e-mail to no avail. Nobody I knew had any idea how to get in contact with her. I was lost.
Fast forward about 2 and a half years...I'm in a music studio recording a demo tape to go audition to work for Carnival Cruise Lines, and I get a random phone call from an 843 area code. I answered, and a familiar yet unreal voice greeted me on the other end. Liz had kept my number from years ago and called me when she got a new phone to give me her new number...even though I didn't have the old one! We talked and talked and talked some more, and it was like the spark had never gone out. Because it didn't. After the longest week of work ever in my life and school in Liz's life...and still to this day seems like it was forever...my days off finally came again and I found myself in Myrtle Beach visiting Liz. I drove all night straight through after work to get there, and then stayed up all day spending time with her. Thanks again to Sid for coming with me because I would have fallen asleep had he not been there!
Liz and I went to a Secondhand Serenade concert that night after Liz and Sid and I had dinner at Outback Steakhouse. The concert was great, but the kiss I got at the end was......not. But she let me redo it and the second one was much better.
The rest, as they say is history. I drove down to Myrtle Beach every weekend for the next 3 or so weeks, then Liz came to visit for Christmas and never left. Here we are now just as happy as we were then! |
