Oh my gosh, it's two weeks till the wedding! Today we met with the Dj for our song selections and how to say everyones name. Very excited to see how everything turns out. I have a couple more things to finish up like finishing the place cards and favors and ect.. little things. I am going to be very busy the week of the wedding, with appoitments and just finishing up everything. Wish I had time this week but I work for the next six days so thats just fantastic! Well, hopefully from working so much we have plenty of money to spend on out Honeymoon! :) 

It's been a very long time since I posted anything on our blog. Everything is coming together very nicely. The shower invitations went out and rsvps should be coming in shortly. 

The shower is going to be Hawaiian themed due to our Honeymoon being in Hawaii, and one of registeries involved around that. We are registed at Honeymoonwishes.com and Bed Bath and Beyond.

Dress and tux fitting is July 31st. Then the wedding will be here before you know it!

Today my mom had Kayla(maid of honor) and me over to make some flower arrangements. The lady that we ordered some from screwed up the original ten that we ordered. So we ordered five more and fixed five. So thats what we did today, and it was fun to get together. 

Andrew and I drove all the way to Missouri to spend the weekend with my aunt, uncle and their kids. While doing that my aunt made about seven full cakes for us to try for the wedding. I should probably mention that my aunt is awesome at making cakes. My aunt is going to make out cut cake for the wedding. I wanted my aunt to make my wedding cake but because of liability issues and zoo rules we can have her make out cut cake. Our guest will have some sheet cake that the zoo provides. If we do a family brunch the next morning I could bring some for some of our family to try. We decided on a strawberry cake with a lemon cheesecake filling with fresh strawberries in the middle with a champagne frosting. It's so delicious. 

Since Andrew likes marvel I thought to include it in the wedding. The groom and groomsmen will have marvel socks and cufflinks. Not to tacky but a little tastefull. 

My mom finished painting all the table numbers. Now its time to add our little decorations on them. I cannot wait to see how everything turns out. 

It says it right in the title. I ended up not getting the flowers as mentioned before. A lady made these off etsy and they were cheaper. I like how they turned out.

Paid off the photographer today, Yay! Feels good to finally get things paid off. We will have a married couple I heard from a friend of mine doing our pictures.  We are thinking about getting our engagement photos done this coming up fall  

These are going to be our flowers.We are going with fake flowers so we can keep them forever. I would also like my bridal party to be able to take them home after words and have them looking nice. Plus, fake flowers are so much cheaper. I will be buying those soon, probably this summer. 

Today is the day I went and picked out my wedding band. It turns out that we had points saved up on when we got our engagment ring so we got $400 off of the ring. It is so beautiful, I am happy how well the band goes with the engagment ring. 

Today was also Andrew's 25th Birthday. Happy Birthday Andrew!!

These are the bridesmaids dresses. Except my Maid of Honor will be in blue. Picked up one already, waiting for the other two to come in. Also waiting for the junior brides maids dresses and flower girls to come in. 

Picked my dress up today. I am keeping it at my mom's house so I am not tempted to try it on and have Andrew walk in and see it. My mom and I went to look at a dress probably a month ago. We went to Davids Bridal saying we arent going to get anything. We went to the store just to try things on and see what kind of style I like or look good in. Tried on so many beutiful dresses. I thought I looked pretty in all of them but I didn't think I would have that oh wow moment everyone was talking about. The very last dress I tried on, I walked out to look in the mirror and all I said was " Holy Cow". This dress I picked out was so beutiful and it make me feel beutiful, I just knew we had to get it. 

Picking up the wedding dress tomorrow. We have the brides maids, junior brides maids and flower girl dresses all picked out just need to order them. Our wedding colors are petal pink and marine blue. We are also saying I Do at the Zoo. Oct 2, 2021 is the date of the wedding. 

We also have our Dj, Photographer and Hall contracts all signed and ready to be paid off. Everyone says "I like how on top of everything you are." With us being in school, we do what we can. Everyone says time will go by so fast, and it has. I have a year left of school, and then shorty after we are getting married. 

Took Andrews little sister to get sized. Audrey got sized on Jan 2nd and Caydan got sized on Jan 9th. The dresses are petal pink and I am going go add a rose gold belt to them so they some what match the brides maids dresses. 

My mom and I wanted to go look at dresses to see what looked good on me. I called Davids randomly and asked if they had any openings the same day. They said that they did so my mom and I took that appoitment. I tried on so many different beautiful dresses, and of course the last one I tried on was the one. The picture shown is one dress I tired on, but it isn't my wedding dress. 

This was my very first wedding expo experience. It was fun to look at the vendors and get litte gifts to take home and their even was wine. The day in total was not great. I was in so much pain and I wasn't sure what was going on. Every time I moved or took a breath I was in pain. We went to the expo and I did not have that much fun because I was in soo much pain. After the expo I went home took a nap and when I woke up I couldnt even get up out of bed without crying. Andrew took me to the ER and they diagnosted me with pleuritis. Pleurisy is the inflammation of the tissue that line the lungs and chest cavity. When I got there they did a much of blood work. They wanted to rule out a blood clot so they checked my D-Dimer levels and if those were elevated they wanted to do a CT scan. My D-Dimer levels came back slightly elevated, so they sent me off to do the CT scan. Luckily that came back negative. The had my on IV fluids and some pain meds while I was there. The wrote me a prescription for pred and I went home. So you can say my day was a little intense. 

On this day we went to go pick up the ring from Kay Jewelers. We went there and I told Andrew " You know I'm weariing this ring right?" I said with a smile. We were shown the ring in the store and Andrew put it on right there. He isn't a get down on one knee type of guy, I was just happy to get engaged I didn't care how it happened. The funny thing is while we were walking out of the store I was just asking Andrew if we can go tell my mom. I was trying to call her to see if she was home and low and behold she is pulling into Kay Jewelers as we were leaving. We told her that we were engaged and we called my Great Aunt to tell her because she has been asking when we were going to get engaged. When we were talking to my aunt she was telling us that she was looking at wedding cards. After that we went to go Andrews Family. Debbie- Andrews mom was so excited I thought she was going to faint :). We then went to tell him Grandma and aunt. That day was filled with so much love and excitedment I will never forget. Later on that day we went to go take some pictures at my  moms house, which didn't turn out that bad considering that she took them with her smart phone. 

This story always blows my mind. I remember sitting in my living room with Mike and he tells me he wants to go pick out an engagement ring for his girlfriend aka. one of my best friends. I look at him and I'm like, Dude lets go. So Andrew, Mike and I all go to Kay Jewlers in Parma. We look at a ton of rings. Im telling Mike all these things he should do and all these things about rings and everything the man behind the counter basically offers me a job. I turned it down obvoiusly. At one point I had about three rings on my fingure and I looked at Mike and I said this one. But one of the rings on my fingure I just couldn't take it off. Andrew and I have talked about getting married but didn't expect us to get engaged so soon. We talked it over in the store and made sure we were both comfortable with getting engaged. And the next thing I know I'm getting sized and two weeks later we need to pick it up.
