Sarah and Bobby were introduced through a mutual friend, Brandon in June of 2012. After a few months of seeing each other, they realized that they were meant for one another. In April of 2013, Bobby left for Basic Military Training with the U.S. Air Force. It was then, while they were apart for 4 months that year, they knew they could not be without one another. After asking Scott for Sarah's hand in marriage, Bobby proposed in Walt Disney World on February 17, 2014. Once the wedding date was set, the planning came in to full swing. After some thought, they decided that starting their marriage at the place it all began, would only be appropriate. So the decision was made...Walt Disney World, here we come!

Sarah Elizabeth Goff was born in Torrington on June 26, 1987 to Scott and Linda. She joined her older brother, Tim, along with the family animals. From the get-go, Sarah was a very adventerous and hands on little girl. Being the second youngest of all grandchildren (and the only granddaughter) she had many people looking after her. While Barbies and dolls were always fun, she was most interested in working in the shop with her Daddy on whatever equipment he was tinkering with. Sarah and Tim would entertain themselves in the front yard, digging up grass and making trails for Tim's Matchbox cars, while Uncle Arn watched from across the street in disgust for the kids tearing up the lawn. The Goff's built their farm in 2001 and that's when Sarah's love for animals really came alive. She raised and bottle fed their pet Black Angus calf, Buddy, loving every minute of it. Sarah works for Union Savings Bank in Litchfield as a Personal Banker and in 2014, became a member of the Winsted Fire Department Support Services.

Robert John Shopey III was born in Torrington on February 6, 1987 to Rebecca and Robert Shopey II, the oldest of three children. Bobby later become an older brother to Ashley and Billy. From the start, Bobby loved anything to do with firefighting. He joined the Winsted Fire Department as an Explorer at the age of 14, and is still a member of Winsted Fire as a Captain. In 2010, Bobby was hired by the Torrington Fire Department, where he still works as a dedicated member of a great team. He answered the call of his country in 2013 by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force with a job in Fire Protection for the Connecticut Air National Guard.  Regardless of the task, Bobby is sure to take it on!
