Bride

Those were the first words Todd spoke to Anna. There is still a difference in opinions as to whether she listened or not.  It was sophomore year, at Pleasant Valley High School, second semester, 1987. This is where they met. In Mrs. Mrs. Willis' English class.  They were partnered up on The Great Gatsby project. The assignment was to read the book, watch the movie, write a paper and do an oral presentation - it's a safe bet that Anna did most of the talking.

The first date was out to dinner, though no one can remember where, and then to Doryland Field at Hooker Oak park where they walked around and shared their first kiss on the pitcher's mound. After a  few months of dating, then for whatever reason, probably Anna's need to be a social butterfly, she broke his heart. Remaining good friends through Junior year.  Senior year, they tried their hand at dating again; dating though their first year in college.

Their paths in early adulthood, and up until *gasp* middleage, took different routes.

In July of 2018, their paths crossed once more. In many ways, it was as if time had stood still (but just added some grey - not in Anna's hair - she has no grey yet! Of course, Todd has no hair, soooooooo...).

They are excited to start this new chapter in life. Blending families, starting over, looking forward to family dinners, many ball games, holidays, and outtings. Mostly, they are both delighted to spend the rest of their days with their high school sweetheart.
