I was at work covering for someone who was sick.... I had already worked a shift at another venue and I was supposed to go home, but I stayed.... I was covering breaks for various people throughout the Moda Center. I was in an area that I was not normally in, just giving a break, minding my own business, when a handsome gentleman in a chef's outfit stepped out of the kitchen and came right up to me... I was thinking oh great... He had the warmest, safest feeling handshake... Even taught me how to properly shake a hand! That's when he started thinking he was the boss! And trust, I tried to let him know that I'm my own boss... He just smiled and told me he would never hurt my hand if I shook it properly! He told me he wanted to see me again. Asked where he could find me later...

He ended up tracking me down a couple days later while I was in my regular post for the Blazer games... I was nottttt looking to settle down or be in any sort of serious relationship.... I told him dude, I'm not lookin for a relationship. He said OK, can I take you out anyway? Maybe it was his strong warm hands, or his confident smile and demeanor... And the rest is pretty much history!

So Kristi pretty much summed it up!

Here is my take on it!

So yes, we had our introduction. She extended her hand in the most delicate way. It was obvious to me that some man had crushed her hand before. So, I grabbed her by her wrist with my left hand and turned her hand over. Extending my right hand out and gripped it firmly yet gently. This took her by surprise. No one had ever taken great care of her in this manner. She told me how warm my hands were. We exchanged pleasantries. I then headed back to the kitchen, Hoping I would see her again.

Finally seeing her again was one of the greatest days of my life.

She did put up a bit of a fight. Giving me these silly reasons like:

I am not looking for a boyfriend, etc. This went on for a couple of weeks. Until her very wise friend told her. "He's your boyfriend!"

Like I said, "Damsel in Revolt!"
