We met in September 2007. While not having much success meeting new people, we both ended up looking online at the suggestion of friends. Both of us had never done this before. Turns out it was meant to be… We ended up being the first/only people we talked to online and the first/only people we went out on a date with from online. We have been dating ever since that first date.

We have had many adventures and travels together. We have gone to different parts of Florida from Amelilia Island, Tampa, St. Pete, and to the Keys. We’ve also taken trips to Maine, Chicago, Savannah Georgia, Hilton Head South Carolina, Vermont, camping and more. We love to have fun together, and be outside. Julie has gotten John to go to the beach a little more often, while John has shared with Julie his love of sailing and taught her to sail with him. We also love to go to Florida Gator football games and enjoy tailgating. We’ve even tailgated at Jimmy Buffett concerts!

The thing we enjoy the most is spending time with family and friends. In Florida and in Maine you can always find us cooking out, and just spending time with the people we care about most. We are always up for the next adventure and we both can’t wait for marriage to be another adventure we can have together!

The ceremony will be on July 16, 2011 at 1:00 PM. At Saint Bartholomew’s church in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. This is Julie’s home town church. Monsignor Paul Stefanco is performing the ceremony and we are having a full catholic mass with our ceremony. John and Julie are both catholic. Irene will be playing music for the ceremony and Jean Cerigan who sang at Mr. and Mrs. Littlefield’s wedding will be singing at the ceremony.

The reception will be at the McKernan center at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland, Maine starting 2 hours after the ceremony at St. Bart’s Church. The McKernan center is an old sea captains quarters turned into a dining hall that over looks the ocean with a few beautiful guest rooms. It is seated near Willard beach one of Julie’s favorite beaches in the summer and is in between Spring Point light house and Portland Headlight light house.
