Rachael & Jerrod got engaged at just past 2pm on September 19, 2010 at the top of the Tokyo Tower while on vacation in Japan. In many ways it's just the beginning for us, but our story really starts more than 20 years ago.

We first met in Mr. Culbertson's 5th grade class at Minter Creek Elementary School in Gig Harbor, Washington! We shared many classes together throughout school and formed a friendship that eventually brought us back together many years later.

Jerrod first asked Rachael out on a date in the 7th grade! Because she wasn't allowed to date until she was 16, Rachael had to say "no." Bummer! Fortunately, Jerrod is a patient man!

They last spoke when Jerrod called Rachael while she was away at college at the University of Washington. Shortly after, in 1997, Rachael moved away from Seattle on what would become a ten-year, extended tour of the United States, living in Montana, Vermont, New York and Maine.

Jerrod also moved away from Seattle and made extended stops in Kansas City, Missouri and Albuquerque, New Mexico before moving back to Seattle in the spring of 2007. Only a month later, Rachael also moved back to Seattle!

A few months later, Rachael looked Jerrod up on MySpace and learned he, too, was living in the area. She sent out an e-mail and the two began corresponding.

Rachael and Jerrod began dating on March 1, 2008 after a few too many margaritas. But, it all worked out....

We got engaged on September 19, 2010. We're now planning a wedding for August 18, 2011.

Rachael and Jerrod live on Queen Anne in Seattle with their cat, Thumbelina.

Our wedding ceremony will be at 6:00 in the afternoon at Kerry Park, at the top of Queen Anne hill in Seattle. It's the most beautiful spot in Seattle, overlooking Elliott Bay, the Space Needle and downtown. It will truly be a memorable start to the rest of our lives together.

Join us for an adult reception immediately following the wedding ceremony on the 76th floor of the Columbia Tower at the Columbia Tower Club in downtown Seattle.

We've arranged for a room block at the Hotel Vintage Park in downtown Seattle. It's two blocks from the Columbia Tower Club, the site of our reception so an easy stroll or short cab ride home at the end of the night.

If you'd like to reserve a room during the week of our wedding or the wedding night, say you're with the Ruble-Weston Wedding to get our reserved rate.

We hope all our family and friends will be able to join us in celebrating this truly special day!
