We first got informally engaged at last summer's Bunbury music festival.  We somehow started talking about it and both casually said yeah let's get married soon.  Last fall my Grandfather's health started declining.  He was such a strong example of how to be a good partner and taught us both about love and comittment.  When he went into hospice care we knew we had to rush our wedding.  We went out one Saturday and picked out rings together.  And the next Saturday we had a small ceremony with only our immediate family members.  My cousin who is a minister officiated and Grandpa got to be one of our witnesses with my 5 year old cousin the other.  Our ceremony was intimate and special.  Grandpa passed 2 days after our wedding.  We all got one last great party with Grandpa and we got his blessing for our marriage.  And now we get to celebrate with everyone else!
