Albert still says we met at the church, but we actually met before that. He doesn't remember because he was chasing another girl. I was there with my boyfriend but that didn't keep me from noticing him. We were at youthfest on the Ashland riverfront and it was raining. My boyfriend saw Albert in passing and stopped him to introduce us. He was too eager to get back to his date to notice me but he stayed on my mind for the rest of the evening.

The day Albert took interest in me was at school spirit night at the church. I was still seeing the same guy and we were all volinteering to set up. My boyfriend was being particularly goofy and Albert made up his mind to steel me away. I made it easy on him though. Shortly after that, my boyfriend and I split up and I set my sights on Albert. I gave my number to Heather, a mutual friend and one of my bridesmaids, who passed it along. He called me the next day and we have been inseperable ever since.
